Our two most recent projects continue their winning streak
March 7 2022Both Wadham College and Maggie’s Southampton have been announced winners of this year’s Civic Trust Awards. The awards scheme is the longest standing built environment awards scheme in Europe, and recognises outstanding architecture planning and design. In addition to its regional award, Wadham College was presented with the Michael Middleton Special Award – a memorial and tribute to Michael Middleton CBE, who established the Civic Trust Awards in 1959, awarded to an outstanding restoration project or new build within a conservation area. The judges described the two buildings as ‘a very clever response to a very difficult site with challenging context. The result has provided accessible and spacious spaces for students and also created two new quads with different characters.’ Maggie’s was praised as ‘a sophisticated, skilful and respectful piece of architecture.’
