Talks at Hay Festival Cartagena and Universidad del Norte

On 2 February, Amanda will be at the Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias 2019 to join co-founder and director of the Festival, Peter Florence, in a wide-ranging conversation on architecture today.

The event will take place at 17.00 in the Salon Santa Clara at the Hotel Sofitel in Cartagena with a discussion on numerous topics from innovation in materials to sustainability to the importance of public space.

As part of the broader Festival programme, a day of lectures will take place at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla on 4 February. Amanda, writer Juan Carlos Méndez Guédez and economist Deirdre McClosky will all give talks to the university’s students.

Amanda has previously spoken at the Hay Festival in Wales in May 2018, delivering a talk on the V&A Exhibition Road Quarter and the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) in Lisbon.
