ARVHA Awards celebrate women architects contribution to the profession
December 10 2018ARVHA, the research association for cities and housing based in Paris, have awarded Amanda Levete the International Prize for 2018.
The annual prize highlights the work and careers of women architects and is judged by ARVHA in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture. From applications from over 300 architects in four categories, Amanda was awarded the prize alongside Sandra de Giorgio for Young Female Architect, Bathilde Millet for Original Work and Nicole Concordet for Female Architect.
The awards ceremony took place on 10 December 2018 at the Pavillion de l’Arsenal in Paris and was attended by more than 400 people.
The jury was chaired by Anna Schabel, chairperson of Women in Architecture UK and the evening was introduced by Marie-Pierre Chadre, chairperson for the Centre for Equality, Ile-de-France.
The International Prize is now in its second year and in 2017 was awarded to Carme Pinos.
