February 1 2018Amanda has been named winner of the Jane Drew Prize 2018.
This prestigious annual award is given by The Architect’s Journal and The Architectural Review to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of architecture.
Following the announcement of the award, Paul Finch, editorial director of The Architectural Review and The Architects’ Journal, said: ‘Amanda Levete is an architect whose career has been notable at several points, but whose independent practice has blossomed internationally, and whose independent voice has generated welcome debate and reform.’
Previous winners of the prize include Denise Scott Brown, Zaha Hadid, Odile Decq, Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, Kathryn Findlay and Eva Jiřičná.
