Amanda on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme discussing influential women architects

Discussion with Susan Collins as part of Radio 4's centenary celebrations of women's suffrage

January 22 2018

Amanda and Susan Collins, director of the UCL Slade School of Fine Art, spoke on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme about the most influential women artists and architects in Britain of the last hundred years.

To mark the centenary of women being given the right to vote, BBC Radio 4 are conducting a survey on the most influential women in Britain since 1918. Nominations are being made during ten radio shows leading up to the anniversary of the Representation of the People Act on 6 February. The public will then be invited to vote for their choice on the BBC website.

Amanda and Susan were invited to nominate the first two women for the poll, selecting Zaha Hadid and Barbara Hepworth.
