Leading Culture Destinations Awards announced
August 21 2017MAAT wins Best Museum Architecture of the Year 2017 at the Leading Culture Destination Awards, shortly after winning the Architecture Best of Best prize at the Iconic Awards and achieving a place on the shortlist for the WAF Awards.
The ‘Oscars for Museums’ celebrates the vibrancy and vitality of museums from around the world. The Awards are a response to the fact that cultural destinations are changing fast and no longer for art experiences and education alone; they have become public places for cities and people.
MAAT was been shortlisted alongside the Ethiad Museum in Dubai and the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Saudi Arabia.
